World Grand Prix Dublin – Final

Mighty Mike gets his WGP title back
Sunday 12 Oct 2014

WGP Final – van Gerwen v Wade

Mighty Michael van Gerwen won his World Grand Prix title back with a gutsy display against former winner James Wade. Wade started the better and took the first set 3-1, but the dutch youngter fought back to level when it looked more likeley Wade would go 2 ahead.

But wade took the next set 3-1 to keep the pressure on the World No 1 and current World Champion to lead again 2-1.

But van Gerwen made it 2-2 and went ahead 3-2 before Wade fought back to make it 3-3, van Gerwen went ahead again to go one set away before he eventually took the eighth set to take the title with a 3 leg to nil scoreline and like the World Grand Prix Title again and remain World No 1.
